Graphic/Web Designer

Jenkintown, PAEmpireCovers.com, a fast-paced and quickly growing ecommerce business, is looking for a full-time web and print designer to create and maintain website design, banner ads, printed marketing materials (such as brochures, catalogs, trade show displays), email marketing, presentations, and more. We're looking for a candidate with solid design and user experience skills and a good grasp of industry standard design applications (Adobe Creative Suite 5: Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign). Our ideal candidate takes pride in their work, has meticulous attention to detail, and isn't afraid of data-driven design decisions.
This position will entail directing and executing a number of creative projects, and working with creative and development team members. Non-design skills are also essential; understanding and analyzing related data, product positioning, strong Excel and data manipulation skills are also required. About the Designer Position
Overview
Create and maintain a variety of killer web advertising materials and interfaces using industry standard software. Create supporting printed advertisements and informational documents.
Requirements
Education BFA/BA/BS in Graphic Design/Web Design/Digital Media or related field.
Experience 4+ years related web and print design experience. Ecommerce experience a major plus.
Skills
The individual must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. The individual must be able to effectively communicate creative ideas to non-creative coworkers, and be able to accept criticism of creative work produced. The position requires the individual to be well organized and be capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously. The individual must be proficient in industry standard software applications (Adobe Creative Suite 5). The individual must have a diligent work ethic and have the ability to work well alone and within a team. The individual must be creative and have a knowledge of current design and advertising trends and techniques, as well as a solid foundation in traditional graphic design disciplines (such as layout and typography). The individual must be proficient in Excel and other Microsoft applications, and be able to pick up and learn new software quickly.
Responsibilities
Responsible for the development, creation, and execution of cohesive, effective and generally awesome designs for use on the web and the printed page. Responsible for maintaining existing design materials (such as websites) and improving them in an effective and cohesive manner.Works directly with supervisors to set long and short term marketing goals and translate those goals into successful design projects. Analyzes related analytics and testing data to continuously improve user experience.
